Instructions to authors
Authors may choose to submit two different kinds of papers: Scientific papers shall contain breakthrough contents, innovative developments supported by thorough scientific framework; on the other hand, technical papers are more technology-oriented, they can report for instance experimentations results.
Submitted articles will be subjected to a single-blind review process of the entire article. Key figures and references to pertinent publications in the existing literature are required. The maximum length of an article is 8 pages (with a minimum of 6 pages).
The scientific presentations will be 25 minutes long including questions.
Technical papers may be submitted as an extended abstract (with a minimum of 2 pages) highlighting new or significant aspects of the authors’ work in one of the MAV’s technical field. Submitted abstracts will be subjected to a single-blind review process.
The technical presentations will be 15 minutes long + 5 minutes for discussions and questions.

- Deadline extension for both scientific and technical papers: May 15th, 2017
- Notification of acceptance:
May 31th, 2017June 15th, 2017
- Submission of final full length papers (6-8 pages for both technical and scientific papers): September 3rd, 2017
Best Paper Award
On the basis of the reviews of the program committee members, a number of papers will be nominated for the best paper award. After the presentation of the last of the nominated papers, a special committee will select the best paper of the IMAV 2017.
International Journal of Micro Air Vehicles (http://www.multi-science.co.uk/ijmav.htm) and Unmanned Systems (http://www.worldscientific.com/us/) offer the opportunity to participate in an expedited review process for the authors of the articles nominated for the Best Paper Award to be published in one of the two journals.
The proceedings of the conference will only be available on-line with free access for anybody.
